In celebration of what seems like the summer finally arriving, i'm going to post a set of shots taken on various walks and visits made recently (and upcoming), to numerous places along the South coast and here in the West Midlands.
These carnations have been threatening to bloom for a few days now and it seems with the sunny warm weather - it's finally about to happen. It's pretty incredible what happens in the garden when the temperature rises and the sun shines.
Just for a bit of fun I thought i would turn this shot into something more colourful and vibrant than it already was and enter it into this week's ETSOOI competition.

@darrenboyj thanks for replying Darren. I tried elements some time ago and never did get my head round it. I'm enjoying using Lightroom though. I noticed the other day you had the same Sony as me: do you use manual settings? I find it really fiddly to set the aperture and shutter speed.
