Finally, a shot of one of the sunflowers i managed to grow from seed. This so far, is the only one to have bloomed and is substantially smaller than the other 5 which tower about 4 feet above it. I'm hoping this one is different from the others - it has more buds ready to burst into flower, whereas it's taller brothers and sisters only have one huge bud beginning to open.
As it is, i'm probably going to have to get a step ladder out for it's siblings - if they continue to grow, then i'm not sure how i'll manage more pictures!
Quite happy with my handywork in growing these from a packet :)
I'm currently hosting the new abstract challenge for THREAD. This can be open to all sorts of interpretations: anything that is used to tie/attach. For example it could be a ball of string, wool, sewing thread, rope etc.
This runs alongside the normal mundane challenge of course so why not have a go and see what you can come up with? Would be great to see some of my followers having a stab at this and of course, it's another day ticked off your 365 Project calendar!
Please tag your entries ABSTRACT-THREAD
@ivan to be honest, not a lot!! This is pretty much as is! I've upped the exposure slightly - but other than that not much. It was a pleasant surprise when it opened :))
Well it's only 4 & something months to Christmas - wish I hadn't done that calculation now!
Quite scary.
