This swan is actually one of the parents of the cygnets from a few pictures ago and did in fact disapprove enormously to me getting close to it's babies!
You have to watch these! I can recall as a very tiny girl seeing a swan chase my father down the towpath as he tried to photograph it. It was very scary!
