Where are you Mork? by darsphotos

Where are you Mork?

At least Mindy has not disappeared and still hangs out with the two white ducks and the gray duck but no Mork or Daffy. There are now lots of male mallards, a few female mallards and a foursome that we have followed along with all the geese that are always there.
Meg

Wonderful shot, Darlene!! Of course, I keep hoping we'll see Mork back...
April 9th, 2014
Looks like Mindy is being quite vocal! Such a funny shot! Love it & hope Mork hears her calls!!! Fav!
April 9th, 2014
@megmills Thank you so much, Meg. Mindy talks a lot and was fun to capture her with her mouth wide open.
April 9th, 2014
@taffy Thank you so much, Taffy. We keep hoping to see Mork as well and Daffy as he was one of the originals that we met over 2 years ago. There were a few male mallards that crossed a street within the park and headed in a direction that we have never seen them go, away from the lake. Not totally giving up hope till mating season is over.

Fabulous capture! I love it! FAV :)
April 9th, 2014
Really cute shot of Mindy, Darlene. I hope Mork and Daffy come back. I guess nature has its own agenda, though, which we have no control over.
April 9th, 2014
Super in your face detail. You must have been close? Fav!
April 9th, 2014
@paintdipper Thank you so much for your comments and fav, Junan.
April 9th, 2014
@mittens Thank you very much, Marilyn. I hope they come back too. I wish they were safer at the park. You are right, we have no control over nature sometimes. Wish I had somewhere to keep Mindy here at home. She was just about in my lap yesterday. She loves it when I sit on the grass with her, feed her and she puts her face close to mine and looks straight at me. Would make a really interesting pet and very protective one.
April 9th, 2014
@amandal You have got that so right, Amanda. She was in my face and just about in my lap yesterday. I sit on the lawn with her and feed her every time we go to the park. Yesterday she looked at me straight on like take me home. Wish I could. Thank you so much for the fav my friend.
April 9th, 2014
@darsphotos That is sweet that Mindy is so comfortable to be near you.
April 9th, 2014
@mittens She is a super friendly goose, Marilyn. She tries to go home with us and with others that I have talked to that have watched over her as well.

@jolefont thank you so very much for the fav, Jo Ann.
April 9th, 2014
@deburahiru she gets so close to me. We sit on the grass and I feed her. I thought she was going to sit on my lap as she got so close. Her eyes looked right into mine. Cool and sad as we have to go home and hope she stays safe. Thank you so much, Deb.
April 9th, 2014
@bruni I hope Mork and Daffy reappear. It seems so strange to go to our table and have no ducks, just Mindy but so happy to have her and hope she stays safe. Many watch over her but no one is there all the time. Thank you so much for the fav, Bruni.
April 9th, 2014
Oh wow this is great
April 9th, 2014
@leananiemand Thank you so much, Leana. She was sitting on the lawn with me head to head. She loves to be close sometimes. I was feeding her. She talks a lot and I always have my camera and iPad with me to record her and to take photos. She had to check out my iPad. So funny.

April 13th, 2014
Priceless shot Darlene, really looks like she is shouting for him
April 14th, 2014
@claireuk Thank you so much, Claire. She loves to talk. I bet she misses him. I think something definitely happened to several of our ducks at the park. I wanted to cry as I miss them. A part of us for so long.
April 14th, 2014
Oh, sad to read about the missing ducks. This is a great shot of Mindy!
April 18th, 2014
@nanalisarocks Thank you so much, Lisa. I adore Mindy. She is great fun to be around. So many ducks went missing that it breaks my heart. We only saw a few mating this year unlike last year when they were mating and hard on the females. To have males disappear as well is heart wrenching. Daffy and Mork are still gone with others.
April 18th, 2014
OH my goodness! I love this!
April 28th, 2014
@sl_pavini Thank you very much, Summer. She is a doll and we walk around the lake at our park with her once a week. She talks a lot. I have taken a lot of video and photos of her.
April 28th, 2014
What a bold and funny girl she must be. And I have my answer regarding Mork, :-(
Nature holds still for no one. I seem to remember from waaaaay back, that one of them had a lame wing, or was that yet another duck? Sorry, it's hard to keep track of your flock and I've been gone a long time.
I know you were very attached to them and I know you must miss them terribly and worry for their welfare.
July 6th, 2014
@pasadenarose She was a doll and was in my face, so close. Yes, Mork's wing was broken after he was dropped off with Mindy at 3 months. One of the girls that I talked to after that said she called her friend who was a vet and said it was healing nicely. So many watched over and enjoyed the two of them. Just had no room to take them home. Wish I could have but we are in a track home subdivision. It is hard to keep up when you are gone but it all comes back. I am on and off here quite a bit. Trying to stay on now, just do not get out to take photos not driving.
July 6th, 2014
@pasadenarose I have video of her on one of my posts. She was so much fun and so protective of us and we enjoyed our weekly walk with her around the lake.
