Sunset

On our way home from shopping, hubby pulled over in our neighborhood so I could turn around and take photos of an amazing sunset.
That is a fantastic sky, Darlene. Simply amazing with all the variety, light and detail. Have any of the wildfires affected your area? Been reading the news about those awful fires. Hope all is well with you.

Nicely composed to make the sky the major portion of the photo.

Heartbreaking and more. what devastation. I feel so sorry for all the people affected. the pictures and story let one feel one is right there amongst them and more so,since we know some of the area.

@congaree Thank you, John. We had smoke here from the wildfires. Had a high school classmate lose her home along with 2 sisters and a nephews home as well. The sister school of the high school I went to in San Francisco was damaged in Santa Rosa as well. So many lost homes. So very sad. We are doing ok and on a week of vacation this week. Nice to have time off though it is so warm/hot here, even in San Francisco and Southern CA. Ready for rain but none in our forecast.

@bruni Thank you so very much for the fav, Bruni. Dan knew I wanted to stop and saw what I did. Grateful we had the time to do so.
It was truly heartbreaking all the devastation due to the fires. They are now trying to get people to come back into the Napa Valley and take train trips and go to the wineries that are up and running. You spent more time in the wine country than we have in a long time. Wonder what you would see today being here.
