He Sounds Just Like His Father

149 / 365
This morning I was outside with our cat Oscar when I heard a familiar bird that landed on our fence along with this young female. Have not seen the adult male mockingbird in a few days. He taught his young male bird well as he sounds just like him and seems to act the same way too. Have no idea if this is his sister or partner, but happy to see these young mockingbirds. He did not dive bomb or go after Oscar. Both flew up into the tree after this.

@annbo Thank you so much for your comments, Ann. This male was loud but worth the wait as it was a busy morning in the sky, on the roofs and in the trees with so many birds.

@copperheadglass Thank you so much for your comments, Rach. He is just like his Father and just as noisy. They are quite amusing now that they are out of their nest and getting around.

@marlboromaam Thank you so much for your comments, Maggie. Heard this male coming from the side of our house and thought he was the adult male as he was just as loud and sounds the same. He plopped on our fence with this young female and kept screaming and flew into the tree with her, I think back to their nest as next one adult came out. My early morning entertainment. lol

@rach_who Thank you so much, Rach. They were so funny to watch. This young male sounds just like his father and this female like her mother sits and does not say much. Very entertaining.

@giffy I sure wish I could provide audio. He is as loud as his father. I love it and miss the Dad coming around on a regular basis. Not complaining as it was something to see and hear. Thank you for your comments.
