It's time. I have the lenses now. And so I took my daughter out for the first real shoot. Add to the list of college acceptances: Northeastern University Honors Program with a Merit Scholarship. Even with that very generous offer, it's too hard to make up the rest. How did we get to college tuition at $70,000 per year? Insane. Super proud of her. She really wants to be in Boston, but...
That's when I started taking senior photos - when my first daughter was a senior - have done quite a few since then! Lovely photo - congrats to your scholar and yeah, college tuition is absolutely insane!
Wow, the college is so expensive! My son started uni today. We have a scheme where all the fees become a debt that he pays back to the government when he earns a certain salary. I can't imagine that many would have the ability to pay up front. Wonderful photo too :)
@888rachel We are super fortunate that she already has an acceptance to Georgia Tech (#3 Engineering school in US), and becaise of her high school success, the state will fund tuition while we have to cover room/board/fees/books. She just hates staying in the south. But unless the last three schopls accept her (with significantly more awards), she'll likely go to GA tech. We are quite fortunate indeed.
@darylo So glad that you have Georgia Tech. Shame she is not in Australia, as they are so keen to encourage female engineers that there are scholarships just for them.
Beautiful pic of your smart girl. My friends daughter went to Georgia Tech for Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, can't remember which one. Great school.
