The exam room had a bunch of things no one used. It was an odd space with a couch, a desk, a bed. Felt homey and clinical. I spent a long time discussing symptoms and what I've done for the past year to rehabilitate my back while not knowing what's wrong with my back. I made it clear that I wasn't going to do anything until we could name what it was. So the doctor came in with my old MRI which is almost a year old now and he points to what is called an annular tear in my disk, which no one pointed out before. He thinks that's the source of my pain. I sure hope that's really it. Recovery hopeful. Just wish someone caught that on the MRI a year ago.
Are you in Rochester? My DH has a difficult-to-diagnose condition and we finally went to Mayo. The level of attention was wonderful and their work flow is pretty amazingly efficient. Wishing you the best experience possible, and it sounds like maybe they've found something.
Love the black and white. Hope that they can treat the source of your pain. I think the back is one of the most difficult to diagnose correctly in that so very much can be going wrong as we age. Hope this doc is the one.
Great contrasts! Isn't it amazing how difficult it is to get something properly diagnosed ... I do hope they are finally onto something that can help relieve your pain. Good luck!
So glad to hear you have found a diagnosis and potential treatment options!
