Jalapenos by darylo

Jalapenos

I have a small plant and it's going gang busters producing fruit!
I see salsa in your future with jalapeños and tomatoes growing

We have that too! Isn't it great fun watching them progress into something you can eat?!

Lucky you! We can’t grow peppers here cause it’s too cool. Nice use of your fingers to give sense of size

@grammyn @jamibann @jgpittenger thanks for comments! I am having fun eating from my backyard!

I have two little peppers and some critter bit into one of them!

@jyokota I am in a little bit of disbelief so far that the critters (and I have many) haven't partaken much (but woe to the critter who tries one of my ghost peppers--I can't even touch them without gloves apparently). I just put up new "fences" for my 3 tomato plants--they are growing so big!

@darylo -- are the fences somewhat like a round cage to hold them up, or something that will keep critters away?

@jyokota knocking 3 times on wood as I write: to hold them up :)

@darylo -- ha! I just bought this amazingly huge bag of Korean red Chile powder and sprinkled it all over the garden. Let;'s see what happens.

@jyokota I bought one of those bags a few years ago and I should have thought to put it out before I recently threw it away! Kira was making a Korean dish, and we looked at the expired date...haha. Had my first home grown tomato in a salad today. Delish! xoxo

@darylo -- I have two tomatoes that are beginning to get color. Let's hope I get them and not the critters I have been feeding. I've been told that my zoning the backyard: squirrels in one place, birds in another, my vegetables in yet another -- won't matter because they think everything in the backyard is theirs.
