Please forgive the fact that I'm an awful commenter these days. I have the RARE opportunity to be OFF this summer from work--while it is budget scary, it's amazing to be free and able to go places without LOTS of planning. The good news is that I'm so committed to 365, the camera goes with me. And, truthfully, all my 365 friends go with me too (virtually, albeit)--that's the beauty of 365: I think of you guys all the time and wish you were with me! You'll be sick of me in the fall when I'm STUCK at my computer and looking for any way to comment. Until then, well, I'm sort of all over the place!
I love the action shot and the reflection of it. This is great!! And your commentary made me laugh. I'm dreading the fall -- I don't know what I'm going to do with 365 commenting once I'm back to a full time teaching schedule. But maybe having to be at my computer will just make it easier to sneak in comments, while working will make photographing and posting harder!
Absolutely fantastically brilliant idea!!!! I go bowling all the time an never thought to photograph anything beyond the ball or shoes. Fabulous shot!!!

I love the ACTION/tension in this and the blue tones. I am the opposite of you (most of the time) in that I am on here LOTS more when I am off for the summer. But less during the year when I work from sun up to sundown.
@espyetta My work is so computer-based and at the computer all day long teaching online, so the opportunity to take quick looks and comment is much easier. With two young ones and going full speed all day outside, I don't want to be in front of the computer these days--even to edit things. I thought I would do more this summer, but when I started realizing it meant I had to be tied to an electronic device, I just cut the cord. It's been hard too as I really miss the commenting and exchange of ideas. This project has taken so many turns, but the good news is that I'm not giving up. Today is 200 photos. Holy cow. And the TT?? Whaaa? MaryBeth, I am in SHOCK.
@darylo Yeah, when ever I get that "congats, your shot is on the TT" I am like "WHAT?" Haha! Where I watch and have a few time gotten hopeful are the main "Ross" final five for the 365-er selected theme....one time the theme was Magnificent creatures (well the winner chose the theme) and I had a spider web pic that got a lot of favs....made the TT I think...if not, it was because it was a week when the "fav numbers" were very high. I happen to think how spiders weave webs is so magnificent...so I was hopeful. And I had a bee hovering in one spot pic that week that I thought was a possibility..the back of a carpenter bee ..he was magnificent. haha So I have thought "maybe maybe" but nah. Never. Oh well. So you are going to do your pics, but not get on the site at all besides that? Oh, that is a bummer. But young kids at home need you! :0) We'll miss you if you stay gone too much/long. You could use an IPAD to process, and be around your kids more, but it still detracts from being with them. And nature shots are hard to upload and handle on ipad...you have so many of them and have to be able to see which is the best one..hard to do on ipad. Anyway..congrats on the TT! This photo rocks.
@espyetta I'm going on vacation and don't want to take my laptop--don't have an ipad--I'll just have to edit and upload when I get home. :) If I take a photo on my phone I love, I'll upload it directly as I have some editing stuff there! I'm taking the Canon Rebel--so all is good. Just this is not a time to be on the computer--I'll be in Martha's Vineyard. :)
@darylo Have FUN on your vacation! and relax too! When do you begin teaching again? For me, July 31. Well, that is preplanning week start up. Kids back the next week. Aug 7
I start pre-planning with a high school in Nebraska in the first week of August. I start teaching later in the month. I'll probably be in a huge depression then too. I have loved this summer so much!
