My mother and I spent this morning with the Dalai Lama at the Gwinnett Arena. What an engaging (and funny) world leader. I love his promotion of secular ethics and the call to action, specifically the act of Love. I have to say I reflected on 365 as one of those worldwide spaces where people have come together to discuss so many topics (mostly photography, yes), but with such consideration for one another and kindness. We are not defined so much by our borders as our collective agreement to support one another. It was a lovely moment of reflection. I'm so thankful my mother took me so we could share this together.
As we entered the venue, I saw a woman leading several monks into the building. This is taken with my cell phone and edited within its parameters, but I liked the colors and movement.
FAV! Love the colors, the body language and the blur. There is a wonderful feeling in this shot. Thanks for sharing about the Dalai Lama and his message. It hit home for me, too.
It is so great that you shared this with us! :))) My mother belongs to a buddhistic (I am not sure if this word exists, sorry) community, and she usually takes me with her to the initiations and presentations of rinpoches and lamas. I really love their point of view for everything, their calmness and wisdom, and their particular humor. :)) Really cool shot, love the colors !
I share your feelings about 365 and I once did a questionnaire in a magazine (forget which) and came out as a 'centrist' like the Dalai Lama.
I find your shot tranquil and thought provoking at the same time.
A memory to cherish, maybe one of most important people in the world, if only more would listen the world would be a far more peaceful place.
The lack of detail and the colours, tell the story.
Great comp, colors and feel in this pic!
