I had to look up this duck because the female and male mallards are so different from one another and I didn't see the male until he came into view a bit later. The female has this signature blue feathering, which is just stunning from a distance. I loved how the whole family was fishing just below the surface here (in a bit of a swampy area near the Chattahoochee river). The lush greens seemed to work well with the shot as well.

I was on a bridge looking down, which provided a nice vantage point. Kids are up next! :)
Both of these shots are so clear and detailed they look like decoys in their perfection!
