Yesterday, my daughter competed in the Japanese Academic Challenge for her region for Level 2 Japanese. She was the captain of one of her high school teams at that level. Her team went onto the finals and then WON! We are so proud of her and her team mates. Another school had this wonderful competitor for Level one, and his hair is shaped into a mohawk. I had to sneak a shot to see if I could do something with it later, and here it is. When he went to receive his medal, the organizer of the event could not fit it over his head and everyone, including the Honorable Consulate General of japan, had a fun laugh.
Along with a medal and a certificate for winning her category, Kira's team will be invited to a dinner at the Consulate General of Japan's residence! WOW. We are so happy for her and her team.
Super cool capture - many congrats to your daughter. My sorority niece (daughter of my little sorority sister) is a Japanese language grad. She was in some very neat competitions.
Are you living in Japan? I have a son and family in Yokohama. They are always celebrating something or planning another event! Congratulations to your daughter and her team.
Love the hairdo! Terrific shot!
'big hair'!
