Revisiting a series of shots I did at Roswell Area Park where I've been infatuated with a Muscovy duck, but there is a mallard couple there. Given that I just discovered the little paint brush feature in my LR5, I'm experimenting with all kinds of details (the feet, the head, the eye, the beak, the list goes on and one -- even the detail in the cement wall before this lady jumped for safety away from the "crazy bird woman."
Love the experimental process.
Oh, and bad news--again--water main broke to house today. My Bali/Japan trip is looking so good and yet, I'm never going to have funds enough. Set back is quite substantial. And no water in house for two days. Love my neighbor who is allowing us water privileges at her home. Sweet, sweet neighbor.
Wow Daryl...what a beautiful photo! Sweet Mallard in her element! I chuckled as I have just this moment uploaded *my Mallard*...at home, I guess, but not in the environment of his choice! Life certainly provides us with enough setbacks to deter many, but stay the course! You're going to love (and need) that trip!
Lightroom is amazing! I just love playing around with it. Good job here, beautifully captured duck. So sorry to hear re your water. Bummer! Glad you've got someone who is helping though :-)
Beautiful duck capture - love the detail in those feathers!
How annoying about the water main! I hope it is all fixed and you have water of your own again soon.

Bad news about the water! It makes living difficult in this day and age to not have it readily available! God bless your neighbor!
