Welcome Wakana! by darylo

Welcome Wakana!

Our visit with Wakana will end tomorrow and we just got started. Waaaaaaahhhhhh! The Kakehashi students arrived around 7:30 pm, so we opted to "eat in" with a nice family dinner. We even saved the kale so Kira and Wakana could cook the Kale chips while I grilled the meats. I made ahead the salad, roasted potatoes and carrots, so it was a quick fix. She loved our version of the all-American meal! The next morning, I made her eggs, bacon, cheese grits, mixed fruit. So far, we have a very adventurous eater, for which I am rather thankful!
A nice photo with good memories. I love the peace sign. This photo reminds me of my old good memories living in Japan for 3 years.

I think this is such a wonderful experience you have created not just for your daughter, but for the whole family. How special too, that you'll be able to visit Japan relatively soon. You must be getting really excited! Can't wait for all your photos!!

This is so lovely Daryl, and I'm glad your student threw herself into the experience.
