View at Dinner

I took my daughters to Callaway Gardens, which is south of Atlanta, GA about 1.5 hours. I hadn't been there since I was a child, at least as far as I can remember. We stayed at a nice old motor "lodge" that has a pool and some basic nice amenities and part of the night stay included two days at Callaway Gardens and access to a few of the outside attractions/restaurants, one of which was the Country Kitchen and Store up the road. One of the best family photos of my family (pre-divorce) was at this location so I had a wonderful time reminiscing with my children about being there at their age (to many yawns and "yeah, yeah, yeahs").

Our dinner at the Country Kitchen overlooked the hills, and at one point, we witnessed the sun sort of rise and fall. This is though a dirty window, but it was a spectacular view while we enjoyed our southern dinner: chicken and waffles, fried chicken, and fried catfish for me (with fried okra and collard greens--mmmmmmhhhhhmmmmmm!).

I've been busy editing photos, so apologies for floods of feed. I can't catch up, so it's the only way I can get it on and keep going. Love to all!
what a lovely shot to remember the new memory you made with them at your "historical" site!

So beautiful, almost as though the sun is being extinguished.
