I had so much brown rice leftoever, even after making some seeded rice crackers with quinoa, that I decided to use up the rest with Indian red chili powder, whole cumin seeds, and some garam masala powder mixed in (with water). Then I made some crackers!
Last summer, I started making my own pickles. And they are darned good--so are my crackers. Love when something pretty easy gets discovered by me (even though others have been doing it all along I suspect)! Haha.
@jyokota it was a bunch of rice (3 cups), and I just threw in Indian chili powder, whole cumin seeds, some salt, some garam masala and water. I put all in a food processor and added water till it came together. A bit messy trying to roll out, score after half baking at 360 F . still working on recipe but the ine I gave above is more precise with seeds.
"throw in" doesn't work for someone like me who neurotically uses a kitchen scale set to grams to measure everything. I'm just not experienced enough to estimate. But glad you mentioned the food processor because I saw the photo and assumed you just mixed it up and rolled it out.
@jyokota I understand. I am an experimental cook as I am an experimental photographer. This was just a situation where I applied the same concepts as I did for the seed crackers, which is a good recipe and will work! I would like to propose a Zoom meeting perhaps! I miss you.
This was the recipe that got me going Crackers for Crackers. Oh and they are using my photo I uploaded too. Cool! https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/242058/marys-gone-crackers-copycat/
