Tehen Guardian, wounded

This spider is the biggest one I have ever seen. For about 15 minutes, I stopped visiting the shrines to get a shot of this marvelous Banana spider. Notice the one leg missing right at the joint on the left front of spider!

While I was photographing, a couple was also trying to get a shot with their very nice camera, but to no success (and the wife was super afraid of our lovely subject). I showed her my shots, and she asked if I could do the same with her camera--and so I did! Hope she gets over her fear--I love spiders.
