The hapless Sisyphus of Greek myth was condemned for eternity to roll a boulder uphill only to have it roll back again when he reached the top. So our Everyman figure in this photo is condemned to endlessly repeat the banalities of daily existence.
Thanks Margo. I had a lot of fun (and aggro) setting this up today, Even though it was shot on the horizontal with the camera tilted the little figure refused several times to pose for me and kept falling over. Nevertheless I have plans for him again.
I love the concept and execution and it manages to be both serious and funny, I feel - which is very clever.
David, a belated but heartfelt thank you to you for taking so much time to view my work and for your very kind comments; I am greatly complimented.
I've thoroughly enjoyed looking at your images and particularly admire your use of studio lighting. I'm not here so often now but would very much like to see more of your work when I drop in, so am returning your follow.
