I didn't want to wait for this 'Crimson King' Hibiscus to open fully for fear that the japanese beetles would get there first. When fully opened it's about the diameter of a salad plate. I like this shape too, kind of like a flower bowl.

P.S. I think you where smart to capture it as is...so very pretty i have never seen the crimson king before..i will have to get me one ! Love it!
