My Sleepy Town (Get Pushed 233)

Mary @mcsiegle challenged me to take a short photo walk. Stop every 27 steps look around and take a photo from right there.

I went on my photowalk at about 10:30pm so I decided to bring my tripod along to take some bracketed shots for later processing. This image is a composite of 3 bracketed exposures. Shot with an old, all manual 35mm 2.8 Nikon lens.

Beautiful shot of a mundane location. Where do you live? If I had known you were in the middle of snow and cold, I might have thought twice before sending you out on a photo walk. I hope you were dressed warmly! Mission accomplished.

@mcsiegle thanks Mary, I live in NW Montana, just outside of Glacier National Park.

Great manual focus...using chilly fingers, I'm sure. Love the coloured gel over the rather large light source ha!

Lens might be old, but it does the starburst like a champ. Hope you didn't leave any skin on the metal. Excellent picture, and kudos for an HDR stack at who knows how many degrees below freezing.

Really beautiful colors! So ... just outside of Glacier Park - could that be Hungry Horse? Columbia Falls? I live in Kalispell.
