Barn with a Loft

This was such a unique looking barn that I had to take the shot. The top includes a loft area. I have never seen another like it around me.
Fav! Beautiful! I thought you had touched it up at first, but I think the silver roof blends in with the sky so well that it looks lie you've done something. Makes it more magical! Great lighting, great composition. Wonderful barn.

fascinating building - those sorts of lofts are used to load buildings over here - sort of conveyer belt you set up to push the hay up and in - dramatic processing to bring out the textures and sky

Fantastic Work Debbi ... I think if you were able to get under the eve and look up ... you will see a block and tackle rig of some sort ... A flat is positioned under the eve ... loaded ... then a winch on a tractor or mules are used to pull the flat up on the slide bar ... then rolled to position on top loft ... unloaded ... and do it again ... Livestock on ground level ... feed ... Hay, ect. in loft and dropped down to Feed ... The wood in these old barns are highly sought after due to the unique smell that impregnates them ... WOW sorry ... Rambling on ... You know I love old Barns ... This one looks to be in amazing good shape ... Peace to You my Friend ... Fav
