On this beautiful Saturday I walked around the Common for a while before taking the Green Line out to Boston College to see an exhibition. I feel a need to be with other Bostonians now rather than staying home.
At the new Boston College museum I immersed myself in the exhibition of medieval illuminated manuscripts for almost three hours. It was a brilliant afternoon when I went in to the dim-lit galleries. By the time I came out, the sun had set, the sky was pink, and the almost full moon had risen in the eastern sky above Boston. It was good to be distracted by art that has endured for centuries.
