The boat house at the Pond was built in 1910, the same era as our building two blocks away. It is currently used in the warmer months for renting sailboats and rowboats; in winter it is closed up. That's unfortunate as there is a large fireplace inside, and they could sell hot drinks and let people warm up. Actually, my fantasy would be a tearoom upstairs in that room with all the windows.
