My Favorite Pink by deborahsimmerman

My Favorite Pink

While those of you in the UK and Europe are showing spring flowers, we are still in winter here, so I played with a rose photo from my recent bunch.

Spring is not New England's great season--autumn is. We've had some early springs in recent years as the climate changes, but this year we're having a very cold March after some warm weather in late February. Typically spring comes late to New England, and then it is short, before the hot summer weather sets in. May is usually the lovely time, and I have much to look forward to in the Public Garden and at the Pond and the Arboretum, which has a large lilac collection. I don't mind the cold, gray weather we're having now as it gives me more time to work on my organizing project.
Great rose. Your climate story is intersting. But everywhere is a mix-up. We had extremly cold dry winter, and suddenly we have high temps, more may then march... from winter jackets to short sleves- nothing in between. And the nature is bursting. It started a month later then usually but it is all catching up at warp speed... hopefully we won't get frost on fruit trees now that they are blooming!

A beautiful rose and capture . We too are having varying weather from bitter cold wind to very warm days. We change our clocks tonight which means we have to get up an hour earlier.

I enjoy your rose pictures Deborah. This is lovely.

I think spring is our best month by far. Autumn isn't great. Some years we get good colours but often it's just cold and wet. It's good that we have each other's photos to enjoy.
