I love the stone carvings in the arch over the door of the Lindsey Chapel at Emmanuel Church on Newbury Street.
I looked up the history of the chapel. Leslie Lindsey, of Boston, was married in England in April 1915. Two weeks later, on the trip home, she and her husband died on the Lusitania. Her grieving parents gave the chapel to Emmanuel Church.
