A friend let me use her kids today as guinea pigs..I have never really taken a lot of shot os kids and i wanted the practice...One of the most important things i learnt is look where the sun and light is..I am really happy with this shot but a few others i unfortunately got a lot of sun/shade on and not being an expert with photoshop i'm not sure how to fix them...any advice appreciated..
But all in all i snapped some really great shots...
Deb, yes, the light is very nice on this one. I try to shoot in open shade and/or use fill flash at a very low power setting.
I use Lightroom4 so don't have any Photoshop tips.
This is a nice portrait, Deb! Love the sepia. Nice balance of light and shadows. If you blow out your subject, not much you can to fix that in any app I'm aware of - even PS.
Wow, what a fantastic photo, Deb. I agree with others as I plan people photos as much as possible. If outside, I have no sun on the person, all in shade or as the sun is going down and still in the shade. You captured this so well as you also have clear movement of him on this swing. Fav
Looks wonderful Deb. All I was ever taught about portraits is focus on an eye and make sure your background is clean. This ticks both boxes before the fab processing.
