One of the many things that make me feel proud of this country is its amazing architecture. be it houses, temples, monuments or any historical building, the architecture in this country is beautiful.
The temple shown in this picture is just another Hindu temple in the south of India, this sort of design of the temple which usually has all the Hindu gods sculpture on Its outer wall is the speciality of the temples of south India, for example, the Ramanathaswamy temple in Rameshwaram and the Brihadeeshwara temple in Thanjavur. They are a magnificent example of Dravidian architecture.
Long story short about the Temples in South of India, They are colourful, the style is Dravidian which is in the existence since the 7th century, and they are a brilliant example of ancient Engineering which mainly Included hard work and cleverness with a lot of guts to pull of the unimaginable just like Placing a 25 ton heavy piece of the rock on the top of the temple which is called as "Shikara" in Sanskrit which is translated to dome in English. The Dome stands on an 80-ton heavy single block of granite, there are many more interesting facts about this and the other millions of temples in India, which I would love to tell about in the future posts.
Mughals Invaded India and Introduced this country to the Mughal architecture which led to the construction of The Taj Mahal which is one of the 7 Wonders today. Architecture is one of the most beautiful this about this country, in case you ever visit India, make sure to experience all the different sorts of architectural designs.
India has a vast and glorious history which also has bloodshed in it but with great accomplishments overall, the brilliant architectural designs are one of them, So whenever you come to India make sure to embrace the beautiful history of its architecture.
