American sweet corn by deepak28

American sweet corn

Apparently, in India, this is called American sweet corn. Not because the corns are from America, because the word American will attract a few more customers. I don't know why Americans haven't filed a copyright issue regarding the name lol. This dish is sweet corn mixed with butter and Indian spices(very American). It is really tasty though. I don't care if it's American, English or Australian, the tase is pretty epic for just half a dollar!
It's cheap, hot, quick, and creamy. worth for the money. Americans out there please don't curse us for this (hahaha).
Indians are great with bringing out an Indian version of things which aren't Indian.
We wait for others to invent something and then add our pinch of Jugaad.
Like Nike and nikki, Adidas and Abibas, coca-coal and tampa cola, the list never ends.
At the end of the day, it is all worth for the middle class out here and we happily buy them.
If you want to go for a budget shpping India is the place to visit.

Damn, when is the Government gonna give me my part for promoting India?
Doesn't look like any sweet corn I've eaten but hey.. we did the same thing to tacos. :)

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the name but as I understand, from some British friends, in some parts of the world corn is grown to feed livestock and not as food for humans. Wheras in North America, it is a popular dish for people. I'm wondering if feed corn and sweet corn could be two different varieties. With "American Corn" meaning the sweet human consumption variety.

@gardencat could be possible, In India there are many more ways of preparing dishes made of corn like there is a particular indian Bread made up of corn.
