Mandevilla Splendens by demetriceworley

Mandevilla Splendens

This luscious pink Mandevilla Splendens* (perhaps a Pink Allamanda) was blooming in a planter outside of a Panera Restaurant.

Mandevilla is native to Central America and South America. Its milky sap can irritate skin and may be toxic if ingested.

*20th Flower

My iPhone SE’s focus worked well for this flower but not for the previous 20 shots I took of a blue round puffy flower. =/

Believe this is a mandevilla. Have been buying one every spring, for a few years, to have for the summer. They add a great tropical look to our Michigan summer.

@amyk Thank you so much! I went searching on the Internet and found it. =)

This is a new flower for me. Like yours, this tropical look would also look good in my Illinois summer flower bed.
