@timandelke Thanks for the vote of confidence Elke. I am always drawn to these flowers but find them very difficult to capture well. But I keep on trying until I get an image that I'm satisfied with.
Perhaps you should rename this flower the Umbrella Plant, Denise - it really does look like a colourful inside-out umbrella. The central lighting really enhances it and, ah yes, there's your tell-tale edge of something beyond. Nice one!
This is great! I've been trying unsuccessfully to get a good shot of some wild morning glories that grow in my yard--for some reason they seem very hard to shoot but you've done it beautifully. As usual!
