No wonder you suggested enlarging your picture Denise - the butterfly really leaps out. Now, the question is...did you wait for it to land, or was it already there???Either way, another classic.
@richardshears I can't recall exactly but most likely I was waiting for it to land. I don't every believe I've come upon a butterfly that is still. I'm usually chasing in circles trying to get a shot for the few seconds they are still.
@timandelke I don't know but it's an interesting question. When I looked closely at this photo, I was surprised to find the matching lavender trim on the butterfly. It amazed me too.
