Gorgeous! I used to have one of these and it was the center piece of the garden when in bloom. Thanks to squirrels, I no longer have that vivid orange/red.
We have some similar, that grow ain't the high grass along roadsides, that I have always known as either day lilies or tiger Lillie's , I do know that the powdered tip of the stamen does make an ocre type mark on a white shirt....great color and detail..not being a veRyan knowledgeable flower person, I may be wrong on the flower name...
@tonyjsisti Well Tony, this is indeed a type of lily. I don't know the variety because I took this photo at a local arboretum\. The next time I head out there, I'll see if they are still in bloom and attempt to find the name. @jannkc I'll try to find it for you too Jann.
