Lovely winters day today, so went to the Botanical gardens for a wander. Not much colour being the middle of winter but still such a beautiful place. The welcoming bollards, carved in reclaimed timber pier pylons, are the work of Melbourne born artist Jan Mitchell. Five years and 103 bollards later she has created a unique tourist attraction, the Waterfront Bollard walk. In this shot the late afternoon shadows are prevalent which I quite like.
Lovely shot of a beautiful place. I have to say there is a slightly sinister Dr Who feel about those figures for me in the image; I'm sure in real life they are very welcoming!
How lovely to meet this couple strolling in the park. Is this the same park that has the carved bollard bandsmen in black and red. I have never been to Geelong but remember seeing a photo of them in a magazine a year or so ago.
Gorgeous crystal clear shot
Love to see shots of Botanical Gardens. Thanks.
