Look what's hiding in the corn patch.

I went down to the sweetcorn patch for a photo - thinking corn flowers or suchlike. Instead, I found this lovely cicada soaking up the evening sunshine. I have been inspired by some of you clever people who take macro bug shots! Thanks.

I rarely see adults. Just the shells of the nymphs. I did put a video of an adult up back in summer...it flew out at me and made me scream a little. haaha
