We had 5 new chicks hatch out today - there were 6 eggs, so there may be one more yet. The mother is very protective, so I will try to get a better shot sometime soon.
How precious. I really like the composition, with the inclusion of the hen and her bright red features, and the textured hay all around the new little family. Fav.
@kali66 This hen is part bantam, so they tend to go clucky more frequently than the brown shavers, who have had the cluckiness bred out of them in favour of more egg laying days per year.
