Birds of Tiri by dide

Birds of Tiri

Here are some of the birds we saw yesterday Tiritiri Matangi Island open sanctuary. They are all important to help pollinate or propagate new native trees. Clockwise from top left: bellbird, wood pigeon, robin, tui, morepork, takahe, stitchbird and saddleback.
Beautiful collage....lovely birds!!

Beautiful collage - what a wonderful place this reserve must be. 28 saddlebacks were recently released on Adele Is. in the Tasman National Park. I hope to visit there later this summer.
