The glass basket

We went to visit an elderly Aunt today (she's 95). This glass basket has always been a favourite ornament of hers - it is around 15cm diameter and is just gorgeous. @julzmaioro and I are both her nieces, so we were thrilled when she gave consent for us to photograph this basket. Our Aunt paid 2 shillings and 6 pence for it many, many years ago, and it was an old ornament even then. NZ changed to decimal currency in 1967, so she has treasured it for a while!
