Maize harvest by dide

Maize harvest

Our maize is being harvested tonight. It's a difficult thing to capture on 'film'! Here you can see the harvester and the tractor lights as it drives through the maize, cutting the whole plant down and chopping it into bits!
This is a great photo! Perfectly illustrates the night harvest.

Great scene & you caught the whole feel of this exercise. Hope it's not too wet in the field, no getting stuck!

I like the effect of the reflection of the lights in your lens. What is the reason for night harvesting?

Hope you get it all in before the rain again. We only got half ours done. Have to wait for the next dry spell. :(

Oops... Nearly forgot. Great shot. It is tricky to get them with the low light and the movement of the machinery.

Good night scene

I suppose this maize is not the corn that we have on our tables? All for cattle food? The circle of light are quite fascinating!
