This is our lovely friend Kim. Today we had some terrible news from her husband, who rang to say that Kim had suddenly collapsed and died. Kim and her husband are tutors for photography tours and @julzmaioro and I have attended many of their courses over the past few years. We have become great friends and have shared many laughs, long discussions and special photography moments together. Kim was a very enthusiastic photographer and a very patient tutor - we will never forget her.
How tragic! Is this the couple I was going to join you on a photography trip to the South Island some day? Her husband must be in shock . . . I certainly feel his pain of loss. This is a beautiful tribute photo you are sharing here. . .and I'm very sad for your loss, too.
This is beautiful ... Kim doing what she does so well... I think it was this morning when she showed us 'The Dance'.. where she stretches out to shade her lens from getting any sun glare...
I am so sorry to hear that. The photography world has lost one of its dearest family members.
This is a lovely tribute showing her doing what she loved to do.
I faved this photo before I read any of your writing so was so sad when I read of her death, just such a shock to everyone Dianne. So very sorry to read this. She will be sadly missed.
Oh how terrible for Kim's husband to be left behind so suddenly. Sending virtual hugs to you and Julz, you'll miss such a good friend. What on earth happened?
I've come back to visit this melancholy scene, and to tell you how much this beautiful portrait you have made of your friend is a loving tribute and one that has stayed in my mind even after I have moved on to look at other images.
