Josh and Jodi gave us a plant voucher for Christmas, so we have finally spent it. It was for a place that only sells big trees. We bought 4 pohutukawa and 4 puriri. Both of these varieties are good food source for native birds. We managed to plant 3 today in between the rain showers. One puriri is up on the house lawn and all the others will go in the native tree planting down by the stream. They need big holes!
@busylady I’m not really into gardening... but we have riparian planted a stream that cuts through the corner of our few acres. We look down on it from the house and it is beginning to look great.
