Winter potatoes by dide

Winter potatoes

I have two small vege gardens and I usually only grow a few brassicas during the winter. This winter, the garden that I usually 'rest' had a few self-set potatoes in it. I must admit that new potatoes in the winter are a lovely treat!
Oh yummo, nothing like freshly dug new spuds. Bliss, with lots of butter.

They are nice and clean and don't have any shoots! Ours do! The mint is just the right addition!

I love new potatoes. Here if any grew early they would freeze solid as a rock. Like this still life
