Crestwood Cabinet Shop by digitalrn

Crestwood Cabinet Shop

The Crestwood Cabinet Shop had been a locally owned business years ago, but it has set empty now for years. The original business building remains as a reminder to the local residents how things have changed over the years. I assume it will soon too be demolished and become a part of our history. I tried digging up some history on this business and found out, at least so far that it was orginally started in 1961 and employed about 4 people. I know it has been sitting empty for at least the past 25 years. It looks like they may have moved on and possible reopened under another name and at another location. I must do more investigating.
Nice shot - it's hard to see some of these old places disappear...!

I'm sure they opened the business with high hopes. It is always sad to see those hopes dashed.

I love these sort of pictures. Makes you mind wonder about what all this building has seen in the past.
Great job on it. And the mirror frame also.

Its a good thing if the business has grown and moved to a different location so that it can employ more people or make for better job security. STILL....... you can't help but wonder WHY another business didn't buy / rent/ or lease the building. Especailly when you consider all the construction that has happened in the last decade in your part of the State.
Great pic for the theme.

Wonderful photo for the theme. What a grand old building but I guess being that it sits so close to the road now it probably can't even be turned into a restaurant or some other business without a lot of work and without probably moving it which is not practical.

Nice shading on the building and I like the wispy clouds. Framing it was a great idea. I like the rusty orange and how the matting is part of the photo. Cool look.
