To make or become less tight, to make or become less severe or strict, to relieve from effort or strain, to take one's ease, rest.
That about sums it up. After a busy or stressful day, it feels great to be able to relax and unwind. For me, I find a hot cup of coffee very effective. Through the years I know I have consumed too much caffeine, so I have grown accustomed to Half-Caff. It tastes just as good, and I still get my caffeine. This past year we bought ourselves a Keurig Coffee Maker, and they offer a nice selection of flavors, even tea and hot chocolate. A wonderful investment and a step up from the old coffee makers. Oh the simple joys of life that tend to spoil us, and we think we have it so bad.
You have a great series of "selfies", Rick. (and a favorite hat) They are not easy to do; I haven't been able to bring myself to get in front of my camera with a self timer.
I continue to enjoy your series of self-portraits. Nice hat.
You were a Psyc major so I'm sure you are familiar with the old story "The Many Faces of Eve" -- you must be doing "The Many Faces of Rick".....
Nice one Rick - good to see you. And I also love my coffee - but I haven't been able to get to half strength yet!!
I also relax on my bike when riding (does that make sense??)
Wonderful selfie, Rick! I love to relax with a cup of coffee, too - cappuccino is my favorite! We got a little espresso maker and I love to froth my milk in the morning! ;-)
Coffee is the best thing ever when I'm in need of wind down time.
