I promised that I would show you the winning Christmas tree in our Festival of Lights competition, and here it is. The large picture on the left was the first place winner, the Peacock Tree, designed by our landscape crew. The other three were all honorable mentions. The middle one was a tree made of plywood, two levels with a train on each level, and each having their own little town. This tree was put together by our weekend nurses. The upper right was Frosty the Fitman put together by the staff of our gym. And then Frosty the Snowman was put together by the staff on one of our neighborhoods. It is always a highlight of the holiday season, and as I said before, the residents enjoy taking part in this event. so do staff. It is quite competitive.
hehehe these are all so cute! what a great way to bring staff and residents together for one purpose! I wish I worked where you do- sounds like such a great place :D
This is such a great team-building activity! No surprise that the landscaping folks would win. They undoubtedly have a sense of design. And the peacock tree is extravagantly beautiful. Thanks for organizing a collage of the results. They are all winners for participating so whole-heartedly.
All of these are so beautiful, Rick!! And so creative!! I would have given 1st place to all! Frosty is too cute, the Fitman is funny and original, the train tree is amazing (our nephews would LOVE this one), and the Peacock tree - so gorgeous and magical! Congrats to all winners and thank you for sharing!
I think they are all winners, I think the one in the middle is my favourite, But I would hate to have to judge them , they are all so good. Lovely shot Rick
Wow! Very creative and lovely. I'm glad you explained each one, it's a little hard to see every thing. I have always wanted to do a peacock tree. I have this peacock painting. I did a couple of years ago with real peacock feathers and I just thought those colors with feathers would make an awesome tree. Well someone has beat me to it. One of these years I'll do mine. :-) Thanks for sharing. They did an awesome job!! :-)
Wonderful Collage, thank you Rick. Was there a prize? or just the glory of being judged the winner? Do you do other things for other special events during the year. How beautiful that everyone gets to be involved, that is the type of place I hope we find if ever we have to move into one.
Very creative people you work with.... wonderful collage.. :)
