While waiting at a red light, I took this photo. When I arrived home and uploaded the image, I immediately noted the strange appearance of the one set of telephone / electric wires, and the direction they appeared to travel. I had this humorous thought that this particular church had a few direct lines, leading right to Heaven. Wouldn't that be nice? A direct line, immediate access to our supreme power, anytime we want, night or day. Oh now wait, we do, don't we? I think sometimes we forget. Well, it's off to work for round two. It's time for our monthly staff meetings. I will be back later tonight to try to finish my reviews and posting. Have a great night.
Half the teaching staff went to Olympia today , so we missed out on our weekly meeting.. ohhh shame about that.. so I left work early and came home and did NOTHING for an hour.!! oh it was lovely
I'm grateful to have a direct line - I'd be a mess without it. I love this shot - beautiful Church and you used the distracting wires to your advantage.
i think it's neat too that the telephone pole is in the shape of a cross. and yes, that direct line is awesome...all you need is a pair of knees and an open heart :) blessings to you friend. thanks for sharing this.
You also have a One Way sign in there- you couldn't have found more metaphors at a red light if you tried! I enjoy photographing steeples too. Very uplifting and your thoughts as always are the same- very uplifting. God bless!
Did you notice that the pole makes a cross? Let's see..church steeple, wires moving upward and the cross...I believe it is a sign that it is a good thing you stopped for the red light.
Too cool! And once again, I enjoy what you have to say.Great Picture. It actually reminds me of a church steeple in our Capital city of Fredericton. And, yes, we do have a direct line!!
More inspiration from you. Thanks for the reminder that we do indeed have a constant open and direct line with our God who sacrificed so much to give us that direct line.
So awesome! We certainly all have private lines to Him. Sometimes we have to leave a message for Him, to return later.....and sometimes He answers right away. I love that about this photo! Not to mention the white building against the blue sky, and the copper colored roof! All perfect!
this is a beautiful building,, and great shot!!
I often do the red light shot.
Great shot, especially for a red light shot! Love the caption too :-)
I like the blue.
