It rained off and on all day, but almost contunually after we arrived home from work. Not able to get out for a photo, so I had to find something to phoptograph in doors. I went roaming around the house with my camera. I know my Wife sometimes thinks I am a little crazy, but you would think she would understand by now what it means to be a 365 photographer, right? Anyway, I took photos of door knobs, dried leaves, the puppies, and then I remembered coming across these little creations a few weeks ago as I was putting away some coins I had collected. I thought it would be fun photographing them, and it gave me an opportunity to play with my photo light tent. I think it worked fairly well. About twenty-five years ago my Wife's twin Sister and her Husband went on a missions trip to Chile. Before they returned, she bought my Wife several of these tiny little creatures made into pins. She has several others too, and even a pair of earrings, but as I looked through them, these stood out as a few of my favorites. As you can see, they are tiny. She has had them packed away all these years, I think it was a sentimental thing. They are very delicate, and their detailing is quite fine, hand crafted by some very talented and creative people from Chile. Hope you all have a wonderful evening. I will hopefully be on tomorrow night sometime so I can give you an update on my surgery. It is scheduled for 2:00pm.
They’re cute little things. I have a feeling your house is filled with all kinds of interesting things. Good luck tomorrow. I wish you a speedy recovery!
Nice selection of "smallies." (My own made-up word.) The eyes on each one conveys a different expression. Also, their colors work well together. Great collage! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Looking forward to seeing you back in 365 Project-ville late tomorrow.
Hope the surgery goes well. Look forward to hearing from you tomorrow night. I remember having my surgery during my 365 Nov 2009 and taking photos of the ceiling of my bedroom. Can't miss a day!! But it is really okay if you do.
I dont know what kind of surgery you are having but I will remember you in my morning prayers. I love this idea of little smallies. It is a wonderful picture....you did good. I think my b/f sometimes think I have lost my mind when I yell "I forgot to take my picture for 365. I have to go home or somewhere." LOL He understands. funny isnt it.
Praying for you! I love these they are sooooo cute, great job 365'er! I have had those days, can't say anyone not doing this quite understands, BUT WE DO! Love your composition!
Be thinking about you tomorrow, Rick. My husband also has a painful thumb that he hasn't seen a doctor about - sounds like he should. I hope and pray your surgery takes all of your pain away. Beautiful photo of those tiny little creatures. Very cute. :-)
What tiny & cute beauties - holding them with your finger gives us an idea of their size. Nice collage too - hope everything goes well with your surgery!
First of all, I wish you a safe surgery, I hope that everything goes right and fast and that you recover well and soon.
Those little rats and the dog are just adorable and the focus is so soft, well done!
They're just little pins, but so much more than that. First the creativity of tho one who made them, but then the love that made them into a gift. Now, they are bringing a smile to everyone who sees their picture. There's something about "crafters". I think we forget that they really are artists at heart. These little critters are proof of that. Praying all goes well with your surgery.
This collage is really fun! I love the little critters and the way you angled the three photos is fabulous. You are in my thoughts and prayers today. Looking forward to hearing a good report tonight about the surgery.
These are really cute, I have just been catching up on your pictures Rick sorry I have missed a few days. I will be thinking of you tomorrow , hope all goes well
Blessings and prayers, Rick, for your surgery. May our Lord bless you with superior doctors, nurses, and all staff, and may you heal and recover quickly. I will check early tomorrow morning to hear of your good and speedy recuperation. And, these pins are priceless.
Those little rats and the dog are just adorable and the focus is so soft, well done!
