After a busy week of remodeling, then needing to go back to work on Friday and Saturday, it was so nice to be able to have a day off, and do nothing at all. I took some time to get outside, and I adventured around at our nearby widlife preserve. Even though it was hot and humid, it was still relaxing. Sometimes it is just nice getting a break from the noise of the city. There's nothing like getting out into the country. While I was out driving around, it dawned on me that I had forgotten to pack my fishing gear. I could have gone fishing as well, but I soon convinced myself that it was probably too hot, and the fishing probably wouldn't have been good anyway, so I continued to drive around in my air conditioned vehicle, getting out once and awhile to grab a photo. These ducks and geese were enjoying a swim in their own private, protected area. Hope you all have a good Monday.
Such a pretty spot! It really is nice to get out of the city from time to time. We make it a point to get out every weekend, even if it's just for a few minutes.
it is a beautiful haven!!! My Daddy would have said it was too hot, that fish wouldn't be biting -- so it's okay you left your fishing gear behind!! :)
Wow if you enlarge this it's even better !! The tree trunks look blue !!!! I don't know whether they are or it's just the light. Then round the edge is all the pink..pink grasses, pink ducks & pink thing on the pole not sure if a feeding station ? Lovely photo Rick !
This is so peaceful and beautiful! I would love to have a whole day off by myself...with my camera of course. Glad you took such great advantage of it.
