It was hot and humid again, and while sitting out on the back porch, I noticed Toby had about as much energy as I did. I think they can sense our moods, and the pups have been low key for the past few days, very clingy, on our laps, kind of letting us know they are there if we need a doggy hug. Dogs are the best companions.
Dogs do have a wonderful sense of moods. If you need some attention, your dog will surely be there.

Dogs are the best and I'm so happy your pups are there for a hug right now. I do think they are incredibly intuitive about their owner's emotions, so your dogs behavior doesn't surprise me. This photo is really awesome in black and white. It really shows off the textures in Toby's fur.
Ohhh- so cute. I think they can sense when you're up or down. How sweet the way he's lying there, just keeping you company and sharing some of your sadness. I agree with Laurie- the b&w really brings out the textures in this picture.
Your dogs will be very intuitive to your feelings at the moment & will be comforting you as best they can by just being quiet & near you. Lovely picture & I like that you have made it black & white to fit the mood !

I love this shot, Rick. Dogs always know when we're upset and need their support. They're pretty remarkable. I've had many dogs over the past years and they always seem to read me perfectly. They're great little friends.
He is missing your dad too and of course he is picking up on your emotions. Our two maltese do this all the time. If one of us cries they will come over and get up on hind legs to our knees to reassure us that the "feel for us in our distress" great little companions. lovely photo.
