I worked till noon today, and on my way home I decided to drive a little out of my way through our local wildlife preserve. After leaving the preserve I traveled through some back mountain roads to enjoy the open country. To my surprise I came upon this little pasture, nestled amidst some mountain shrub and trees. These three beauties were grazing together enjoying their day. As I pulled over to get their photo, the one was kind enough to look at me. I just sat there and admired their setting. To me it couldn't have been a more perfect setting. I took the shot in B/W, and I was pleased with the result. I hope you enjoy. One more week, next Sunday, my Wife and I, our Son, and the two puppy kids are going to head out to Ohio to see my Wife's Mother for a few days. Then on Thursday we head back to Western Pa so we can visit our Daughter. It's been two and a half years since we've seen her, so as you can imagine, we are more than eager to see her and give her some hugs and kisses. If everything goes as planned, she should be coming home to us around April or May. Can't wait. Hope you all have a wonderful night and a great Monday.
Gorgeous capture, Rick! You always find the most beautiful scenes. I am very lucky to have my children nearby. I know you and your wife are very excited to see your daughter.
Two and a half years is a long time I do hope you have a wonderful visit with your daughter.
Lovely peaceful photo - you seem to find so many beautiful places to photograph where you live.
What a gorgeous scene, and I love the way you've connected with the horse(s) in your photo...it really looks super! I read with such pleasure your message to us...I wish you everything good as you travel!
Those horses are just gorgeous. And I love the way one is casually looking your way and another is flicking its tail just in time for you to catch it! Beautiful! :D
This is so beautiful, Rick! It actually made me take a deep breath and just sigh. I'm so glad your daughter will be coming home...I know how much that means since my own wanderer came home in July.
Lovely capture of the three beautiful horses. I bet your daughter is missing you too - I haven't been home in almost 3 years and miss my mum and brother quite a bit.
